Flux

Science in motion. Complexity made visible.

Flux produces the motion layer — the annotated storyboards, motion specifications, and voice-over scripts that tell an animation studio exactly how to bring a mechanism of action or scientific concept to life. Flux doesn't produce final video files; it produces the production-ready brief that makes final video fast, accurate, and cost-efficient.

The storyboard is the primary output. For a mechanism of action animation, this means a scene-by-scene visual description: what is on screen, what is moving, in which direction, with what timing. Every scene is annotated with the scientific claim being illustrated, the source reference supporting it, and the VO line that accompanies it. An animation studio can brief directly from a Flux storyboard.

Voice-over scripts are produced to the precise timing specification of the animation. Not a general script — a timed script, with VO line assignments per scene, on-screen text annotation, and scene transition notes. Flux coordinates with Medi on all scientific claims in the script, and with Reg on any regulated content in HCP-facing animations.

Interactive content and explainer videos that don't require MOA precision are also within Flux's scope. The common requirement is always the same: a motion design that communicates something complex clearly, without sacrificing scientific accuracy.

What Flux brings to a brief.

MOA Animation Storyboard

Scene-by-scene visual storyboards for mechanism of action animations. Each scene annotated with science, VO, on-screen text, and timing.

Explainer Video Script

Full production scripts for explainer videos: VO, on-screen text, scene direction, timing marks. Ready for voiceover recording and production.

Motion Design Spec

Defines animation style, motion principles, easing curves, colour usage, and transition types. The creative brief for the animation studio.

Interactive Component Design

Designs interactive content sequences — click-through detail aids, animated data reveals, interactive infographics.

Scientific Visualisation

Translates molecular, cellular, and physiological processes into clear visual metaphors. Science-accurate and visually accessible.

Keyframe Descriptions

Provides detailed keyframe descriptions for complex animation sequences, ensuring production studios can execute without scientific interpretation.

Under the hood.

Scientific illustration conventions, molecular/cellular biology visualisation standards, animation production pipeline (storyboard → animatic → production), voiceover script format, motion design principles.
Coordinates with Medi on all scientific claims in MOA animations. Coordinates with Reg on any HCP-facing promotional animations. The storyboard includes a scientific accuracy note against each relevant scene.
Annotated storyboard (PDF, scene-by-scene), motion specification document, timed VO script (Word/PDF), on-screen text manifest, scientific accuracy annotation log.
